You know, I think appearance has a big impact on first impressions.
I don't know about you, but
I tend to feel inferior around people who have the model looks.
You know, good-looking people who have the perfect slim figure.
It's like, I tend to slouch around them or hide my face with my long long hair like a banshee, trying to be invisible.
Just a few weeks ago, I had to partner with this guy for a school promo video.
Yah. Good- looking. Like model like that.
Like a school girl looking at her crush, I was always grinning.
That was, until he said that I was fat.
Sheesh.
So I start to hate, no, dislike him. Hate is a strong word, my ma would say.
But a good friend of mine who perceives his "value" (someone who has the class) as very high told me to "just act tile (unfriendly, not smiley) " when facing with people who seem to have the class even though you've got no class.
He went for this school event at Zouk some time before and there was this runway thingy and he was like organizing where the models should stand and stuff. He told me he just acted tile and then, the models, feeling inferior that he didn't pay attention to them, tried to get his attention.
This way, people will perceive him to be someone of a higher value.
Owh well. I'm trying to act tile but I'm still very smiley and goofy.
Um...
I'm not sure if you understand this post...
But basically,
what I'm saying is that you cannot appear inferior to people whom you think have a higher value than you.
Even though you feel inferior, just look up, stomach in, chest out, stand tall.
Appear confident and people will look up to you.
Because they think that your value is very high.
