My ma and Aunt Ros and my grandpa and I went to somewhere near bugis to have some nasi bryani and teh tarik. All Indian. We went to Zam Zam Restaurant to have some mutton nasi bryani and a huge chicken murtabak.
Mmmmmmm.
Yum Yum!
Just after we finished our food at the Zam Zam Restaurant, there was the azan (a prayer call for muslims). The melodious azan was heard all round that area as the Sultan Mosque was directly in front of the restaurant. It was very lovely. I caught myself smiling while listening to the azan. The person who did the melodious call had a very very nice voice. I felt happy. And I suddenly missed, I don't know what. I have been very very far away from God since the "O" Levels Examination last year.
As usual, there were a few beggars around the mosque area to gain our sympathy. I got pissed. I hate people who only want to receive instead of to give. The beggars looked very fine to me. They have full 10 fingers and 10 toes. The have both legs and hands. And a head each and perfect eyes.
They could have worked harder to get money. For example, selling tissues. There is this blind man who makes the effort to sell tissues in Tampines interchange every single day. And, I've got to tell you that his service is better than any salesperson working in the shops.
But, grandpa didn't look pissed. He gave every single beggar he could some coins. I got pissed. Why is grandpa so kind hearted?
While waiting for grandpa to finish his prayers, Aunt Ros, my ma and I went window shopping. We found many lovely things. I found this batik gift wrapper. It was very beautiful. I said: "Wow!" I bought the gift wrapper to wrap my ma's expensive birthday present. It cost only $2.40 as compared to the ones at Changi Airport which cost $6 each.
Then, I saw this batik fan too which was very pretty. I said: "Wow!" I couldn't help but buy. It cost $2. So expensive.
Aunt Ros bought me a lovely baby pink shawl and a strange-looking bracelet. I felt very happy.

After grandpa finished his prayers, all of us went to this old school shop which sold very simple indian desserts and nasi bryani. It was very small. All four of us ordered teh tarik each. Grandpa found his old buddy.

So grandpa called to his old Malay buddy who looked about 50-60 years old: "Monggol Monggol!"
Monggol came over to our table.
He said: "Oh no no. My name now is Andy. It's because I want to preserve my angmoh blood. I actually have angmoh blood. So you call me Andy now."
I looked at Monggol (or Andy). He didn't look angmoh at all.
Aunt Ros turned behind and laughed silently.
My ma turned behind and laughed silently.
Aunt Ros said: "Oh so you're Andy now, eh?"
My ma looked like she was gonna laugh again.
Andy chatted with my grandpa a little more.
And after all that, we went home.
Anyway, Han Fei is very handsome.
